Their latest stuff isn't great (though each of the last few albums has had a couple of really great tracks on them).

I still think that New Adventures in HiFi is one of the most underrated albums ever recorded. Its my favourite of theirs, followed by Automatic for the People and Murmur.

The absence of Paul Morley is definately a good thing. Never have I heard so much bollocks spouted by one man. He's better off on Newsnight Review where the various participants can congratulate each other in a mastubatory fashion over how intelligent they are.

Oh I like Uncut too and have got me into a lot of new bands as a result of reading it. I just think they attempt to insert politics into their articles a little too much. Not only this, they do so in such a way as to sound like teenagers, trying their best to be angry about something because its 'ri...

The new Uncut has a review of the London Son Volt gig. Its got a bit of pretentious bollocks and the usual anti Bush stuff (both of which you would expect from 'right on' Uncut) in it but its not too bad and they are very positive. PS, nothing wrong with being anti Bush of course, I just wish Uncut ...

Hmm, first post for about a year and a half. Don't worry, it will be thoroughly exciting. Thought the gig on Monday was fucking great. Took my girlfriend (current ambition - to see the Counting Crows live in concert) along; it gave her a headache and her ears still hurt. It was therefore clearly a s...

I'm struggling to type this through the pain caused by 'the truth.' I'll soldier on though. So what if the SV boys don't know if the band will get back together. If Jay is the leader and doesn't know himself how the hell are they supposed to? Oh and you paint a picture of the other members as dribbl...

Well its wonderful that you have an opinion but I think its utter crap. Firstly, you seem to wish that jay never evolved as a musician, stayed exactly the same. If his music didnt change we'd be pretty bored of it by now. Secondly you sugget that he has disrespected his bandmates from SV. Er, are yo...

Got to disagree Cowboydown about the length of his songs. I find them so good I wish they would last longer. I think the man is a genius with one of the most amazing voices out there. Anyone who can make AC/DC songs sound fragile and moving has to be worthy of respect!
