Re: Digital Gramophone ranking of UT/SV/Wilco etc

Yeah, I like that guy's site and album rankings... he obviously loves music in all it's forms.

This guy also does a lot of great lists. He's done a few videos on UT/Son Volt/Wilco:

Check him out.

Re: New Album: Electro Melodier

Has anyone worked out the chords for "Reverie"? I'm usually pretty good at this stuff, but I'm blanking out on this one. I know there's a D, A, Bm, E, G in there... somewhere...

Re: New Album: Electro Melodier

Why won't we know where we stand until December? What is the significance of December? Do you think he is really talking about Christmas? Unless he is a super Christian, I think not. Maybe he means that we won't feel our worth until we see how much loot we get at Christmas? Does no one else wonder ...

Great song, indeed very Petty-esque - chiming 12 string; great chord progression.

I tried to work out the chords, someone please check my work. :-)

Capo 2

Verse/Chorus (one and the same?):

D D Em A G D Em A

Bridge:

Bm A D G Bm A F# G

Mere speculation on my part that it's Gary... I have no inside intel. Just going off the most recent "duo" tours I've seen.

I wouldn't mind if it were Mark.... or Ben Gibbard, or Jim James... or... Jeff Tweedy! ;-)

It's probably Gary Hunt... he's toured with him extensively as a "duo" in the past.

Cool, thanks for this. I just recently put one of my guitars in CGCFCE tuning to try to some Nick Drake stuff and am convinced Promise the World is in this tuning. If Jay is playing this in a standard D progression in concert, I guess that means he plays it live in D, but on the recording it's in th...
