anything fom Trace or Straitaways

or, way out in left field, I've always dug the steel on "Going for the One" by Yes (Steve Howe). Howe is a most quintessential guitarist

Imo, the musical chemistry was best with Boquist. Having said that, communicating through lawyers is a shitty thing to do, especially since Warners originally wanted a Jay solo and Jay chose to form a band. Duplantis is the best of the bass players. his right hand attack is powerful, and he is overa...

I don't mean to be an ass. I think at the time, I just felt like I was giving out free advice that I get paid 20 bucks a half hour for, and felt taken advantage of at a point. It would also help if I got laid every now and then :? maybe then, I wouldn't be so damn bitchty  my apologies to mega ...

actually, it's a variation on Portuguese tuning used by Steve Howe. (Low to high) CGCGCD the D on the first string is a 9th to the C. it adds color. watch the SS&BL video and you'll get alot of clues. by using barre on the low 3 strings and keeping the high 3 open is half the battle and not very har...

On first listen (I waited for a LEGAL download from itunes), I'm stuck on Dynamite and Down to the Wire. It reminds me of Straitaways with it's lack of uptempo songs. However, Straitaways is my favorite. I keep going back to the first 2 songs "and let it all sink in." Lyrically, it's classic Jay. I ...

I was disappointed that he neglected to say how Jay has evolved. Alot of people miss the sound of those first 3 records. But his solo stuff, as well as SV2 has been new ground. Not all of those experiments have worked, but he has made new trails. And while playing the exact same setlist every night ...
