THREADS AND STEEL for me; but I don't know how to vote!!! It seemed a bit short though. He should have put a mean instrumental after the third verse and repeated the first verse as an ending.

Best Buy

Fairview Heights, IL store does not carry OLD SALT UNION (Compass.) So I did purchase their last copy of NOTES OF BLUE ($8.99) I remember when there were a half-dozen check-out lanes; they now seem to have only one or two registers. DVD shelves were numerous and interesting. I found two titles there...

BEST BUY BLUES?

Someone recently shared that five clerks had searched for NOTES OF BLUE before he got a copy. This matched my experience of BEST BUY supposedly being "sold out" the day after release, while the computer inventory showed three copies! It then took two clerks a fairly long time in the caverns of the w...

Amen to the idea! Because the old SIX-STRING BELIEF DVD from 2006 also had Chris, Dave, and Andrew on it, I gave it a listen. The vocals and instrumentals were both excellent quality. It was a long, long set list. Two hours? It must have been a hot venue as Jay's face was misted with perspiration th...

Haven't you been able to listen to individual songs on the website or on links in some of the publicity? Can't be downloaded, but I am very low-tech and wouldn't consider that. My Best Buy supposedly sold out on the first day, but when I went in a few days later, the inventory computer showed three ...

Gary Hunt can also be found at times with Rick Thum and Friends. More to come?

Re: "band?" Chris Frame on guitar, plus a drummer, and another instrument? Mark Spencer did apparently sit in on a couple of songs at the MoBot concert.

JF's Right-hand man

Sadly, he may only be on one album song and will definitely not be touring for the album. I understand record sales are better with a band than with solo efforts. But I heard Hunt play and sing LAY DOWN MY OLD GUITAR and MUEHLENBERG COUNTY recently and was thinking he sure could have played blues on...

Premonitions of pink? Belleville native Greg Silsby, singer-songwriter of blues, has opened for him. St. Louis has a new National Blues Museum. (Now how did Chuck Berry get in there? And a jug band section? Ah, well, it's interactive and that makes it all worthwhile!)
