I whined like a baby, and then a year later I bought what I was whining for. I picked up OKEMAH today, my #1 want for RSD. STOKED!

The master sounds really bass-y to my ear, but whatever. Finally, the vinyl hole in the SV catalog has been filled.

Great news!!! And I'd also like to agree with the poster above - I'd love TERROIR BLUES on vinyl as well. One of Jay's best ever, imho. On Facebook Jay's manager (or whoever does the Facebook page) recently said vinyl for Okemah is in the works and will come out at one of the upcoming record store d...

We need OKEMAH on vinyl

First of all, it's been a looooooooooooooong time since I posted, but the new album brought me back. Easily the best since Okemah. I've listened to it more in the last week than HONKY TONK and AMERICAN CENTRAL DUST combined. Stoked for the Roxy show in LA. Now, speaking of OKEMAH...It drives me abso...

Paper and Plastick had already agreed to release the record and I had already designed the cover image. It was actually the label's idea to screen print it on a mirror. They wanted to do something unique. I just said "sure!" As far as recommendations for storage...You're on your own, dude! I have no...

Hey man, just seeing this now. Thanks for the compliment. The vinyl is FINALLY done after a long printing delay. We did the front and back covers as screen printing on GLASS MIRRORS. Yes, those are full on, totally shatterable reflective glass mirrors you see in the pic. You can see yourself in them...

I really wish they would've released OKEMAH on vinyl...

Weird to have them all on vinyl except one.

Live JR JUGGERNAUT download

Hey guys...This cool dude James Freeman did an audience recording of our set at the SUBURBAN HOME 14th ANNIVERSARY party last week in Denver. And it sounds pretty good! Here it is...I guess it disappears after 12 days or something. https://www.yousendit.com/transfer.php?action=batch_download&send_id...

FREAKBEAT RECORDS in Sherman Oaks.

Great little store, and their new vinyl is consistently a couple bucks cheaper than Amoeba.

I picked up a vinyl copy at a store here in LA this week. Didn't know there were any issues with this being delayed...

Anyways, the record sounds good. But unfortunately, I think this is one of Jay's weaker works...But whatever. There's always the next one!

Re: They rule.

DRAG THE RIVER fucking rule. HOBO'S DEMOS and their live album absolutely kill. CLOSED is good, but not as much as the other two, me thinks. Great songwriting. Great band. Buy everything. See them live. Mike And while you're at it, buy Jon Snodgrass' other band ARMCHAIR MARTIAN's latest album "WHO ...
