Great stuff. Thanks for that. That version of Dont Skip Out on Me is really something.
RF is one of those bands I will always listen to, keep a place for them in my head. Just strike a note that must be something inside of me.

I, like I am sure a lot of you, can listen to Jay play mid tempo country type songs all day long and love it all. I think this new record has some of the best melodies and hooks that he has written. I find myself singing lines or humming melodies from the record throughout the day, not even sure wha...

Still waiting for my copy. I've heard he refers to Jeff Tweedy as 'the bass player' instead of using his name. That seems very weird at best. I thought that odd as well when I read it but after finishing the book, I realized he didn't refer to any of his band mates over the years by name (other tha...

Phosphate Skin is an amazing song. My favorite on the record. One of his most uplifting songs that strikes that chord.
The best is within not with whom or where you been.

On Friday Anders said we'll see the new Gob Iron maybe this fall. He confirmed that Jim James played on the record, but whether he will tour with remains to be seen. Err, when you say this fall, you mean 2010? Cuz there's only about two weeks left of this fall... I would guess they ride out the One...

I just saw this. Know its been out a while, but holy crap. Will Johnson was in on this. Worlds have collided. I cant imagine a release i could be more excited for. Musical type that is. "Alongside Jim James and Anders Parker, Johnson (Will) is also taking part in Jay Farrar’s version of Mermaid Aven...

I almost gave up this season after the midriff show. That was painfully unfunny. The last two weeks have been better. Any time Jeff plays a major part, it is guaranteed for success.

How much do the words mean to you?

I have never paid much attention to lyrics. Some of my friends are the exact opposite. My sister could sing every word of every song growing up and I just never got it. If it sounded good, then it was good. If the lyrics told a good story, or painted a good picture, then bonus. But if you sang gibbe...
