this just came out. it's being billed as his first solo record. and it's GREAT. he and victoria williams got divorced, and he traveled the country and wrote songs about it. great stuff if you like early jayhawks or creekdippers.

i'm really digging the new album and extra tracks. i saw on altcountrytab.ca that a few people had widdled down the 22 songs to 12-14 in their own order. has anyone done that here? i'm still working on mine.

i bought the picture single on itunes a few weeks ago, bought the 22 song delux version of the album this morning and bought the actual album w/ 3 song bonus cd at best buy during lunch.
