I heard from someone who was at the Nashville show that Jay was promoting a 20th Anniversary re-release + bonus materials sometime this fall and will be touring the West Coast !! Maybe this is the beginning of something BIG! Anyone else know anything?

I agree, WTF, Jay?? Its been almost 20 years since SV released Trace - and they've dwindled down to nothing - even this message board has gotten to be totally lame.

Wasn't there but I wonder if they got snow - NYC (next 2 shows) is in the path of a big storm, too....might make for some interesting stories!

Just heard Mark Spencer and Gary Hunt will be playing at the Schalfly Bottleworks (Maplewood, MO) tonight with Laura Cantrell (Mark's current touring gig duo) - might be fun to hear these two amazing guitarists dualing chops!

Sounds like a winner! I'm hoping to make it to Columbia, MO for that show; I'll check in here afterwards to compare notes! So nice to have some real content on this page for a change - the Tulsa review and vids made it [almost] as good as being there, THANKS Sachsen!

I know he and Gary are playing in Arkansas tonight, Tulsa next weekend then somewhere in Missouri in the next couple of weeks - Would be so nice, for a change, to read a review or two about these guys on this message board instead of all the CRAP that seem...

Saw the new dates - hopefully, there will be even a couple more shows this year then LOTS MORE next year! Come on Jay, get rocking - we need us some Son Volt!

I happened across Johnny Appleseed playing at the Belleville (Apple) Eckerts and they were great! It appears that the younger Hunt (Andrew) can carry quite a tune and the band sounds really tight! Looks like they're at it again! Gary and Mark are going to be at the Schlafly Bottleworks in Maplewood, MO, according to the calendar. I missed the last time they played there but I heard it was great - am planning on showing up early tomorrow - might even get to talk with them!
