They did the same type of show here. I went expecting a totally acoustic show, which I wasn't crazy about, but hey, at least it was Son Volt, the second half of the show was all electric. It was the first time I saw them live and still probably my favorite.

I saw the show and they really rocked. The new stuff sounded awesome live. Opened with Automatic Society. On The Picture Jay played the horn part on harp which sounded really cool. They did a killer rocking version of Voodoo Candle, I didn't even know what song it was until he started singing the ch...

My reason exactly, Antelope. Two bucks is nothing. Especially when the difference is more than double the number of tracks. So what if I bought the CD too. I got a bonus with that, too. Two bucks is worth the chance that Son Volt will push some of the teeny-pop mall music off the iTunes album chart...

I'm on Son Volt overload at this point. So much music with this release, the expanded version, the ep's. Maybe I'm missing something here but if they are putting out the cd with multiple extra discs depending on where you buy it, why can't they also make the deluxe version available on cd in addition to itunes, or at least as a download from this site with artwork and liner notes, like the Live in Seat...
