I miss you guys...

I saw the DVD and had to drop by. It's good to that everyone is up to their old tricks.

I haven't seen any posts from certain people...where has everybody been?

(Consequently...I've been holed up recording.)

Jedd Black...who wrote it?

I just heard the song "Jedd Black" on X-Country from XM. Who wrote that song? It's an amazing murder ballad.

It was always my belief that Heartbreaker was the best Whiskeytown album they never made, and Pneumonia was the best Ryan Adams album he never made. They seem like they should've switched places in the creative process. Not that I'm complaining. Gotta go with Faithless Street . The new one with the ...

Hey Brian...2

Does anyone know the address of the Bottlerockets site? I can't track it down anywhere. Netscape doesn't even list one on it's search. I'd given Brian a demo of mine in Madison a few months ago, so I'm hoping I might be able to open if they play at The Mill in Iowa City as the word on the street say...

breeders, pod (maybe the most underrated 90's album, in my opinion...it's some really, really haunting shit.)
Man, I'd almost forgot about the Breeders! They did a good track on No Alternative.

Myself, I'm partial to Weeping Tile. Anyone remember them?

Long time, no see...

Long time, no see. My apologies to everyone. I'm way behind on a few boot trades. We had some relations finally decide they were going to move from lower Mississippi, and had to get them squared away up here in Iowa. And with the new bankruptcy laws in place, it turns out that theres some legal head...

World Waits For You...

Okay...this is going to sound like a dumb question...but does Jay actually play the piano/keyboards for World Waits For You at shows? Or is it more like the reprise?

What I wouldn't give to be able to go back in time and keep going with fiddle. Speaking as a guitar player: There are way too many guitar players.

The music world is woefully short on Dave Boquists, Max Johnstons, and Jay Bennetts.

Good luck to the little fiddler! He won't regret it!

A bootleg challenge...

As it seems pretty clear that Jay Farrar/Son Volt/UT fans are some of the most ardent and skillful bootleg compilers this side of a Dave Matthews Band concert, I've got a challenge, and one that I hope someone can come through on. The name of the band is Lucero. I'm looking for any and all bootlegs ...

4-27-91 show at the Blue Note "Blue Tuxedo Show" http://www.factorybelt.net/articles/blue_tux.htm Thanks, Timmy! It was really starting to eat at me. Sticky, what's the story on Enourmous Richard? Is this a band we should dig some music up on? Personally, I think it'd be cool to find some stuff Daz...
