Ahem....Way Down Watson.

I do agree with you generally, though: it makes a great closer for this album.

Accordion

Got a gig tonight. We're covering Tear-Stained Eye, with an accordion solo.

That is all.

That's so funny - I had that exact same thought the first time I heard the new record. It's not just the chord progression (which of course is similar to many other songs too); it's mostly the lead guitar tone that is such a striking similarity.

+3.

And in the live show, Mark played a lot of steel (and just enough keys in my opinion).

How can they be closing with Hank and not Jukebox of Steel? Sure wish they'd do every some from ACD except Sultana and Cocaine n Ashes...all just too good. Too many holdovers from last tour too. Maybe they'll expand the list as the tour Rolls On. If you look at my list in the Omaha thread, you'll s...

Sounds like you mostly got what we got in Omaha. (No surprise, of course.) But not quite as many songs overall, probably due to the Cowboy Junkies on the bill (whereas we just had a standard opener, Matt Cox).

Did you get Windfall or Tear-Stained Eye?

If people would quit downloading his goddamn music for free, he wouldn't have to supplement his income by running a septic service . ps - Don't bother calling, he's running a route today. He's dropping off CD's and emptying shitters. Think before you download, folks. Or: download and then buy also....

Yeah, here's my brief review: I've seen the Volt plenty of times (at least once per each album/tour), and this was the best show I've seen since the "old" version of the band. For one thing, the setlist leaned more heavily on "countrier" material than they've done the last couple times around. I ass...

Is it so hard to live with one woman and the family you raise? I hear ya. I feel for the guy but I hate reading news stories about what a great guy and familly-man he was. Lesson learned here? Don't cheat on your wife and honor your vows. This is exactly the kind of black & white, old-fashioned pur...

OK, now I just read the blog post you're referring to. Your chain has officially been yanked.

However, that's also some of the funniest shit I've read in a while. Love the Onion article reference also.
