Brian makes a great point I have discussed with some other musicians for a long time. Some muisc we think of as almost so sacred that by the time you first heard it you were told "if you don't like this , you just don't get it". Like there was somehow a musical IQ test that you fail unless you thoug...

my only point is that his work since the first two solo records has been a great disappointment I just happen to like Storyville alot!!, Music for Native Americans I also like, but I can see people not being into it, I even thought Redboy album had some interesting moments. I thought there was more ...

I am going to stick up for Robbie a little here, but let me first say I totally love Levon and just got Elecric Dirt and love it. Robbie was done with the Band and his first couple of solo discs showed he wanted to try other things musically, Danko and Hudson played on the first one that was way dif...

Finally recieved my copy yesterday, good stuff. Dynamite is a great opener ( I have to admit the wind came out of my sails on The Search with Slow Hearse starting out!! ) First thought on Dynamite was "did I just hear Jay sing the word "love"?...different. At first listen I really enjoyed th...

You guys are making me Jones to hear the new disc, I have only heard a few tracks. It is a pretty powerful statement that this far down the road Jay is still putting out some of his best stuff. I love the Stones but I would probably go back to Some Girls to find a "best of" qualifyer. Hopefully the ...

As a fan of both bands I would say after listening to the Wilco disc that it seems pretty interchangeable with AGIB or SBS. I like them live alot more than some later studio stuff. The personality types suggests Jeff probably likes playing live much more than being in the studio. I don't want to ass...

Not counting Chicago or St Louis, just curious about what size Jay would draw at this point. I love the music but would he play a small theater ( 2,000-2,500) or a larger bar/club bringing in 500-1,000. I am guessing he would not fill a theater.

For those of us who like them, when they were on it was as good as the hype. Not many bands you could see 5 times on the same tour and be suprised more than once. No set lists, no canned " Hello Cleveland" moments. Before the 90's there was a sincerity to it that forgave even the most directionless ...

The Dead were about 7 different bands in their career, now for people who hate them it would be different shades of a band each worse than the next. For others something about each incarnation is appealing. 60's garage/electric blues band, like the Stones were originally Brian Jones band he Dead wer...

Sirius plays Umphree's and a whole lot of things I don't get. In the hippy circut Umphree's, Lotus, Keller Williams...the list goes on of bands that don't do it for me and I like that type of music. I never last a full Disco Biscuts song ( maybe I need some X and a pacifier) but I guess it is made f...

IMO

Patty Smith tops the list, probably for some of the same reasons some people hate the Doors.

Coldplay

Umphree's McGee I can never change the station fast enough when they hit the air.
