Thanks man. Glad you dig the record. The new JR JUGGERNAUT 7", which is a split with TWO COW GARAGE, comes out next week (I think). TWO COW covers Springsteen's NO SURRENDER. We cover Cat Stevens' TROUBLE (turned it into a 7 minute guitar jam...Pushing 7" vinyl where it fears to tread!) When you ord...

Would love to make it out to FLA. DRAG and TWO COW are playing that Fest on Halloween in Gainsville. Maybe we'll do that next year, too.

And ART GUY...Tell your guitar player to MAN UP and play the song! I wanna hear this!

Hi there. Sorry for the belated response. JR JUGGERNAUT is doing well. Just got back from a couple shows in Denver (one solo acoustic, one full band) with DRAG THE RIVER and TWO COW GARAGE. It's our label's 13th anniversary and threw a hell of a party. I think I had about 8 Makers Marks "neat" and p...

JR JUGGERNAUT album download

Hi guys. We're too sh*tty to have our own messageboard, so I'm gonna spam Jay's. The debut album by my band JR JUGGERNAUT, "Ghost Poison", came out this week on Suburban Home Records (home to DRAG THE RIVER and TWO COW GARAGE). Virgil has been kind enough to offer the album as a FREE DOWNLOAD to the...

Keith, you're definitely in the minority on this one. But I think I'm in the minority in thinking acoustic Six String Belief pales HUGELY in comparison to the full band version. Before Okemah came out, every time I heard 6 String Belief live acoustic, all I could think of is how the song SCREAMED fo...

I absolutely adore the reworked VOODOO.

I thought it was a bit superior when GOB IRON played it (more scrappy - true to the REPLACEMENTS-esque new vibe) but it's great with the Son Volt gang, too.

Love it, love it, love it.

What's Jay say after EXURBIA in this live show (listen to the beginning of DAMN SHAME to hear it)?

Something about it coming out in May?

The impression I got is that Jay doesn't like it. Don't know why. Maybe the obsessive setlist grabbing fan freaks him out. I've had Jay actually smile and hand me a setlist himself a couple times. Didn't seem to care. Didn't get the setlist tonight, but from memory the set was something like (not i...

And I wish he had never thought up the song Medication from OATMOR, the fact that he wrote it is bad enough, but during the Gob Iron tour he played a 10 minute version of that song that really pissed me off. not to threadjack, but holy crap do i agree with you there. I am not a Medication fan eithe...

Re: Theory about "SLOW HEARSE" (companion song)

My theory is that the other song is "EXURBIA". Especially with the new lyric, "It's work, car, interstate, then house. It's work, car, interstate, then house. It's work, car, interstate, then house. It's work, car, interstate, then house." This concept reminds me of the BOTTLE ROCKETS tune "Gotta G...

I'm gonna be the lone voice with this opinion I assume, but here goes: I was never crazy about Brad. I much preferred Chris. I saw them both on the OKEMAH tour and Chris was a more interesting player to me and less a stage hog. Brad was good, but he did the Neil Young 2-string bend ALL THE TIME and ...
