Has anyone gone to the Hardly Strickly Bluegrass Festival in Golden Gate Park? I would love to get there this year. The line up always seems amazing, and.....free!

I stayed up late for that one! In case you don't have the CD, Harlem River Blues, get it, it's great! Jason Isbell plays guitar on the whole the CD.
I will be seeing JTE on 2-10-11 my b-day!

(Dawn Landes was one of the back up singers.)

I am one of those very few people who just don't get It's a Wonderful Life. I have never watched the whole movie. I'm a sucker for a happy old musical. Love White Christmas! I don't know how many times I have watched that movie. And the sing -a long version at the Music box Theatre in Chicago--there...

Enjoy the show tonight!

I'd be interested in hearing what people think of Jessica Lea Mayfield.
I saw her open for Justin Townes Earle in September...

I saw them play this summer, really good- fun. Dade Farrar has an equally great voice and plays great stand up bass. Still Be Ar...

No new material, but a really nice, pretty version of Tom Waits Fannin Street. Followed that with Still Be Around to finish the show.
He sounded great.

I hope he adds a lot more solo shows. Jay and a guitar is all you need.

Ok I'll fawn a little more.... any incarnation of Farrar works.

His name is Gary Hunt. He plays with Jay's brother Dade in The Rockhouse Ramblers and Col. Ford.

Mandolin and Fiddle were very nice indeed!

Still Be Around was the last song of the night in Evanston... GREAT!!!!
