The Final Cut is flat-out unlistenable. I mean, how worked up can one guy get over the Falklands, set to almost no tune at all? I totally didn't see this. I am in the complete opposite camp on Final Cut. I think it is amazing. A Roger Waters solo album for all the world but it is fantastic I think....

Gilmour is my favorite guitar player of all time. His tone is like no other. Momentary Lapse of Reason showed just how vital Roger was though, horrible album, although the Division Bell was much better. "The Violent Sequence". Song became Us and Them, but this original stripped down piano version intended for the film Zabriskie Point is very sweet. Its now available on the new DSOTM boxset.
