Last night in Brooklyn: same set as the photograph above, plus a Chickamauga second encore. I thought the crowd was great, the band was tight. Colonel Ford was incredibly fun to watch. Mark and Gary are unbelievable.

Deep sadness over here. One of my favorite voices, easily my favorite for anything country. Had tickets to finally see him this August. I listen to George Jones at least once a week, couldn't listen to anything but him for the past week until yesterday. The man sang like no one else, and I'm sure no...

I don't believe it ever was. I remember being disappointed at the time but not surprised as none of the preceding solo releases were pressed on vinyl. On Chant and Strum was the first since WST I think.

The word is that the completed album was just recorded. It's all "americana" tunes like Oh, Susanna, This Land Is Your Land, etc. With a children's choir overdubbed. Not joking.
The album being worked on is original material.
Both with Crazy Horse.

Had a great time on Saturday meeting Cind, Half, S. Jay, and Antelope! Thanks for the ticket Cind! And of course the show was amazing. Wish I could have seen at least one more. Would have loved to have caught Slate.

As for my stuff, my old solo stuff is here: http://www.myspace.com/keithhamanmusic/ . I'm recording some drastically different type sons right now, as well as playing in this band The E...

I'm digging this, in a "WTF, the dream of the '90s is what I assumed everyone was still going for" kinda way.

Yes, it's a little hard to find. Click on the Episode 18 link on the left hand side of the page (in the little "Radio Zarape" window) and it will take you to the hosting page, with a download link on the bottom.
Thanks for checking it out.

Jay Farrar Podcast

Hey all,
I've been doing a little podcast for the past 6 months or so and I finally got around to doing a Jay episode. Nothing too exciting for the hardcore fan but I figure someone might enjoy the mix just the same.

keith, a bit of perspective: ny's harvest hit me like a ton of bricks. heart of gold and old man scortched my soul. a man needs a maid accompanied by journeys of idealism until that someone sat me down and explained that beauty is always hidden within the pain of searching. greendale gave me hope f...

two cents, neil is mailing it in. not quite sure anyone of his stature can continue the same fervor as when the hunger was acute. rest on your laurels, my son, you deserve it. I probably missed the answer to this question somewhere, but have you seen this tour? I've seen it twice. First time was in...

This is as good a place as any to say I really wish we'd get some Terroir Blues now and again. One of my favorites by Jay. No ROLLING Back, Hanging Onto You, Heart On The Ground, Dent County all are classics worthy of more than one tour cycle.
