I would give special mention to Murmur, Life's Rich Pageant and Automatic For The People- three ...

I knew that Willy was influenced by Carver, but I haven't read any of his work. Any suggestions on where to start? Not to name drop and all that, but I had a chance to talk to Willy a time or two about Steinbeck (of whom I am a HUGE fan-and I see a lot of similarities among the themes in Vlautin's ...

I'll second that Murphy. All of RF's albums are worth owning. Post To Wire is particularly stunning. I love Raymond Carver's writing and Willy's lyrics are in a similar vein- a few years from now Vlautin will be hailed as an all-time great lyricist. And rightly so.

John Squire of The Stone Roses on 'Made Of Stone' and , particularly, on 'I Am The Resurrection'- the last 5 minutes of which is some of the most exhilarating rock music ever. Don't know how much of an impact The Roses had Stateside, though.

Tottenham is the only acceptable London football club to support. I'm quite fond of Spurs- because we always beat them! We haven't lost a league match against them for about 12 years! Anyway, why do like Spurs if you live in Sweden? I actually used to live in Tottenham just down the road from White...

Certain football clubs in the London area  I hope you're not referring to my beloved Chelsea here! I know we used to have a bad 'element' amongst our supporters but things are much better now. It's Millwall you gotta look out for. Super Chelsea! Carling Cup Champions! Suck it up Liverpool fan...

That shrink-wrap/cellophane stuff they put around CD's- when I buy a new CD I wanna spend the next week listening to it, not trying to open the fucking thing. Also, the glue they use to stick 'free' CD's to magazine covers- when you try to get the CD off you end up ripping half the cover off the mag...

I bombed out of university having blown £6000 on alcohol alone, and nearly losing my sanity in the process. So even though I didn't finish my education, I'm still repaying the fuckin debts now. I'm currently working night-shift sorting mail which SHOULD suck totally- but it doesn't because; a: I con...
