I saw him as a wedding band in October in Chicago, great fun . He did a great version of Billie Jean. He seems like he really loves performing and was ad libbing things the whole night.

Really nice guy and has a killer band

Thanks for the link Chris, I guess Robbie is bringing a fiddle player from Wisc. but this is a rare time I look foward to a wedding band

Going to Chicago this week for the wedding, it is pretty funny that he plays with Mere Haggard, then the reception, and then with Dave Alvin

I agree that TV ruins alot of sports, having to stomach the McCarver/Buck broadcast team is too much for anyone to sit through......but at least the Red Sux lost

The assumption here in Chicago [and one that's hard to argue with] is that MLB is taking care of its crown jewel, the Yankees, by giving them an extra day of rest. Furthermore, it's unfair to a team that took care of business and kicked the hell out of its opponent in short order. There is ...

I wonder about Jay's recent candid interviews, they are great to see but I wonder if he is just hating the publicity tour thing or has he become more comfortable and less guarded. The Harp interview was suprising even after I heard he was pretty open in it. My favorite part was Jay's wife telling th...

How about Fort Worth Blues by Steve Earle. It is about Townes and I remember seeing him do it on Austin City Limits salute to Townes....just heartbreaking. You can see Emmy Lou Harris crying as Steve is singing it and a great shot of Willie looking choked up as well. Another TVZ inspired song "out o...

I had said before my version of Blind Hope was the total one off wing job. The guys I played with had never heard the song before soundcheck. THe drummer had hit a beat and put it in a loop for soundcheck and said "just play something to this"and was walking around this pub checking the sound when i...

"Maybelline" - is a country song - are you willing to say Chuck Berry "stole" from white people?
Chuck stole the most from the late great Johnnie Johnson , his piano player!!
