Wilco, over the last few records, have mutated into some modern version of Tony Orlando & Dawn. A complete snoozefest for the most part.

Nothing on those last few albums touches the Smog stuff.

Grohl's keynote address at SXSW was wonderful. His music, as Foo Fighters, to me is just generic rock but he seems a highly entertaining and likeable dude. He seems as big a music fan as anyone.

Holy Jeebus, Angel Of The Blues is something outstanding.

I went with ACD for the moment with The Search and Hony Tonk running neck and neck in second. I really do like Honky Tonk a whole lot though. Okemah, I don't think I've listened to in years.

It is gorgeous. Really fantastic album.

Superb record. In common with ACD I do think that the songs here will take a little time to sink in and become familiar but because of that they will have a long lasting influence. Mining a rich vein at the moment. Long may it continue.

We'll have to start doubling up on posts because the internet is running out of space!!!

Obviously, it isn't running out of fucking idiots.

The Otis Gibbs podcast is all kinds of entertaining. Go back to the start and listen to them during your commute or whatever.
