Oatmor has taken a back seat to Katrina coverage and the Supreme court confirmation hearings but it really is an excellent album. For me, it's like a career highlight reel. Some of the anger and social commentary of UT (Jet Pilot, Endless War), the acoustic experiments of the solo work (Ipecac, Medi...

Must be God's punishment for horses slumming with donkeys!

In all seriousness, mules have been known to reproduce on rare occasions. I'm not a geneticist so I can't offer an adequate explanation on that particular issue.

As a trained scientist, let me sum this up for you as succinctly as possible: Evolution is a theory. Intelligent design is a belief. The moment you offer up a divine being in a SCIENTIFIC Theory in the form of God, the tooth fairy, the Easter Bunny, etc as any function of your 'verifiable proof', th...

Sam, I never did any kind of portion control. I'd have omelettes the size of Houston. Endless Hardee's (Carl's Jr.), double low-carb burgers, mountains of BBQ (keep an eye on the sauce, THAT'S what gets ya...), POUNDS of bacon, BAGS of pork rinds, green beans, and mustard greens, flavored with vari...

Jay almost got me killed last night

Was driving home listening to the Afterglow 61 EP (Medication live) and was so distracted that I almost turned left in front of a speeding car while pulling into my driveway! Medication has the power to hypmotize, be careful. The live version at the library has the real ultimate power, be very caref...

I always find it laughable when the conservatives try to justify the Iraq war with the 'we're the world police, freers of the oppressed, vanquishers of the murders' arguement. If that's the case, then why don't we march 200,000 troops into Sudan to end the GENOCIDE that's been taking place there?

I don't know if a bunch of us hijacked this poll but SV is by far the hottest band of those listed.

Any review that contains the logic "I love Wilco, therefore Jay sucks" isn't worth reading further than the first paragraph. Better get used to hearing this over and over again for the next couple months. Most of the so-called music critics have their heads so far up Tweedy's ass they can see his to...

[ Exactly. My question is why? It does not sound natural or in his range. I am not resistant to change, I am resistant to something sounding subpar. I can't imagine hearing "Dead Man's Clothes" in the high voice he is using on "Jet Pilot" and others. But you probably won't hear Dead mans Clothes in ...
