Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. Good, unique taste for me - Wheat beer flavored w/ coriander (cilantro) and maybe a little lemon. Negative reviews abound. But just read in wiki that some people have genes such that coriander tastes soapy or rancid - maybe this is the reason. A few weeks ago, Fuller's Lo...

Might I be permitted to add that "Halloweenhead" ("What the fuck's wrong with me God I'm a Halloweenhead") blows and the entire CD is the worse for its inclusion.

Goodness gracious: Jay's hardcore fans consider his last three releases the worst of his career. Gob Iron was a good idea (take a folk song and change it so it means more to the singer), that (IMO) just didn't work in practice - hardly ever listen and like Ander's selections better. And, to be hones...

Late to the party as well

The ND reviewer thought Easy Tiger was influenced by "Harvest-era Neil Young". I don't hear that but a couple, three songs would easily fit on Grievous Angel with Emmylou harmonies. From what I've read, and heard, on interviews/reviews, I don't think you could say anything this guy does is "forced"....

If the law had passed, it would have been too late for any peaceful protests on the palace lawn.
A close call for the Republic.

Concept: Dream Concert

Try "Heart of Gold", basically a Neil Young concert of his Prairie Wind songs, plus some of his acoustic side like Harvest Moon, Heart of Gold, Four Strong Winds. It took place after his aneuyrism operation. All about family, love and friends, no current events. Laid back but focused.

-It's not possible for a country to assimilate so many people in a short time. There has to be some minimum acceptance of a common ground/myth to have a coherent country. Big marches where folks wave Mexican flags and make unreasonable demands tells me they don't even want to assimilate. What will r...

Can't figure out why the Raconteurs put Bang Bang You Shot Me Down in their set - no matter how you change it up, it's still a cheesy Sonny and Cher song.

They have a page in the latest No Depression as well, which mentions a documentary on the recording of the band's 2nd CD and "capturing the less-than-glamourous road experience". But I think they may have hurt their chances for truly widespread success by their ill-conceived negative comments about ...

The Story is about the perfect pop song (in a good sense), with a perfect performance - her voice going from crystal clear to gritty, as you said.
Can her other stuff possibly be as strong?

At most rock concerts I've seen, the performers will play their slow, reflective songs (like Circ and Meth, two of my favorites from Search as well) some time in the middle and then pick up again going into the end. Jay kept the same pace all the way through - even Medication now plays as a rocker
