I am one step up from a Luddite but this thread doesn't shock me. Does it really surprise/creep out/offend some of you that in 2011 it is simple to put someone's name into a search engine and a picture of their house appears? Really? That is hilarious. Nothing wrong with Lew's query. I doubt that h...

Holly Hills area = very St. Louisy. Southside scrubby Dutch. Go to Google earth/Maps and search for Carondelet Park, St. Louis. He's on the northeast side of the park. Somewhere.

Is that the Wahlberg-Bale movie? Looked interesting.

The King's Speech was good, but like Black Swan I think it was over-hyped.

And I'm just sayin that I don't get the fascination with it. I don't doubt that there's some inherent benefit to a certain cross-section of bicycle enthusiasts, but I've tried it and it's not for me. And Grifter, I learned the hard way when I lived in Florida about the sand and tire selection. I don...

I never understood the fascination either. I'd try a single speed, but I'd still want a free wheel on the back. Anyway, I'm guessing because of the increased tension in the chain there's some sort of efficiency increase or feedback boost that appeals to purists. And hipsters. And Wilco fans. Or WHAT...

Will somebody pull up Larry's "Father-in-law's Outhouse" story? Good times ... in a hurry so not gonna search, but thread is titled "the Rising Tide" best thread ever besides the political debate/rant threads circa 2004 election/Okemah release. Not the original, but a repost from a few days ago. ht...

I've not logged in for awhile either. Please tell me Larry is okay and just taking a sabbatical? Besides Jay, his insight into pop culture, from Gin Blossoms to Huey Lewis, is why I return. And the stories. He announced a while back he was leaving. He seemed to indicate it was more than a sabbatical.

Larry remembered - The Poop Story (for Grifter)

Will somebody pull up Larry's "Father-in-law's Outhouse" story? Good times ... Grift, I preserved his story for just such an occasion as this. Enjoy. A long time ago in a post far, far away, TSNL posted this: It was a lazy Saturday, with nothing doing but the goofing off. The night before had invol...

Ostensibly a ballet movie....FAIL. Also a movie by Darren Aronfsky, starring Vincent Cassel....massive WIN. I'm not sure what to say about this movie. Heard about it 2 days ago, and it sounded like something not worth seing (Natalie Portman isn't known for great acting or good movies). WHAT? Throw ...

Saw Black Swan yesterday. What a fucked up movie. Very well done. However, I'm not getting all the hype about Natalie's performance. She was really good, but Oscar worthy? I didn't think so.
