I wish I did have more... I just stumbled across this and was surprised it hadn't already been posted. Maybe I shouldn't have been so obscure with the post title... probably should be something more like: WOW!!!! FUCKING AWESOME EARLY PRE-"NO DEPRESSION" UT VIDEO!!! YOU HAVE TO WATCH THIS NOW!!!! ;-)

Some new band I saw on YouTube

Uncle something-or-other. Some young whipper-snappers. Pretty good sound... hope they make it in the big, cruel world of the music biz

Another Friday Night - But Not a total loss...

OK, so I'm hanging out with my best friend having a few cocktails at one of our local bars hamming it up with our favorite bartendress, etc. and we happen upon these two mature quails that actually seem to like us (no small feat, I assure you). Anywho, they leave to go have dinner at a table and lat...

I lost my mother a little over a year ago. It was the most devastating event in my life. I know how you feel.

I hate to say this, but you'll never completely get over this. I think that's how its meant to be.

Take care.

Search for the "Santa Cruz Setlist" (which was pretty much the same as the Fillmore show)... that's what you can expect.

NOTE: RUP song = Chickamauga

Enjoy the show!

Ya know … I understand that people hold their musical heroes in high regard and don’t want to entertain the thought of them “selling out”, but shit – it’s a JOB. They have house payments. They’ve got to upgrade to the Tempurpedic mattresses and gold-plate their faucets. You can’t eat if you don’t g...

Yeah, it was awesome. Medication was definately the highlite... wow! Even more intense than the DVD version.

As as JH mentioned, the sound guy was shit. I thought Jay handled it pretty well, considering he should have went off on the guy.

That DJ was painfully dumb. She talked about all the songs he has about California...besides the one off of Terroir Blues I can't really think of any. He has more songs about Montana (thanks to The Slaughter Rule) than any other state probably. Besides "California", which actually IS about Californ...

There's something about "Left A Slide" - it's mournful and soulful. I love that song. It might be my favorite on that disc along with "No more Parades." Creosote is a great tune. It reminds me of floating down the river in an inner tube. It's relaxing. And who can forget, "Carrie had it easy!" I ge...

I read or heard somewhere (on the DVD?) that Jay put more time into sequencing this album than usual. I guess what order songs present themselves is a matter of personal taste. Sometimes I like to shuffle the order of things just to get a fresh perspective. Lately my favorite song is "Who", love the...

The trouble with the world is that idiots like Tweedy>Farrar are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt. -- Bertrand Russell Not sure if you've noticed, but I don't get political in music threads unless someone first takes it in that direction.
