Camper Van Beethoven covered the entire "Tusk" album once a long time ago and its finally available. The story as I know it is that they went into a studio in the mountains and the drummer broke his arm skiing and then they got snowed in. To pass the time they just covered the whole dern thing using a drum machine (*makes face*) to record it.

Hank III -- damn skippy. That's some good shit. Granddaddy brought back from the dead.

Thanks for the head up on the Pernice Bros. I have heard about them, but never HEARD them. Will do now.

If you like the way Jay writes, you just might enjoy the way Joe Pernice writes. Check 'em out at www.pernicebrothers.com or at your favorite record store. Their latest album (Yours, Mine & Ours) is fantastic, a truly great summer listen.
Second that. I got the new record, Yours, Mine & Ours last month, and have not stopped listening since, in fact am getting the entire catalogue. Wonderful, intelligent music, and a good band to see live!
