I run a Mac, so I encode the tracks into iTunes using AAC, then transfer to my iPod. I also burn a hard copy of the original Aiff files onto cd-r, to serve as a lossless backup to iTunes.DS wrote:How have you guys been going about putting the tracks on your hard drive?

I received the disc from Neal yesterday and burned my copies this morning. I'm waiting on the address of the next on the list and should be able to get them in the mail soon.
Listening to Disc One right now. Sounds great! The vocals are a touch bassy, but you get used to that quickly (and I'm sure it is the fault of the sound system rather than the recording). I kept the tracks in .wav rather than compressing them to .mp3. The files took up lots of space on the hard drive (still are, as I'm waiting to delete the files until after I've heard both discs all the way through), but I bet it's worth it given the fidelity deterioration that can happen to mp3.
