Noam Pikelny

Post by lpv »

Noam Pikelny (The Punch Brothers banjo player) at Schubas in Chicago Saturday night. Great show-- very talented musicians, Noam is a funny guy too! Aoife O' Donovan sang with the group. She is wonderful. The Punch Brothers will be touring in the early Spring with Aoife O'Donovan opening. Definitely worth the price of admission if they come to your town.

They're named after a state park in Missouri.

Warren Haynes > Last night Northampton Mass > Just a great great show......tore it up so he did. Played almost all of the new one Man in Motion. Tight tight band. WOW............1st set 1:15....2nd set 1:30 would have played longer but curfew. Closed with a funky smoldering All Along the Watchtower.

Playing near you on this tour.............GO!

Steve Earle and the Dukes/Duchess.............great show. 1st set one hour 2nd set 1:20 with two encores.......................sparse crowd though.

Steve looked better than last time I saw him. Put some weight back on.

Chris Mills is fab. I've been into him since he released Kiss It Goodbye in 2000. Seen him play a couple times too here and it's always a great night.

Every Night You Fight For Your Life, Kiss It Goodbye and The Silver Line are all well worth checking out.

Eilen Jewell > yesterday > free show > again do not miss her if you get the chance. Played most of the new one and a stunning Shakin All Over towards the end.
