Jim Jones Revue this coming Thursday.
Lots of Jerry Lee style piano hammering and general good times.
Then Grant Hart touring his frankly bonkers "The Argument" album a couple of weeks later.
Cried my eyes out last time I saw him so let's see how I get on this time.
( There's something about the drummer of one of your all-time fave bands playing such wonderful tunes solo on guitar that will reduce you to a wet rag )

10/08, Richard Buckner, once again playing some $5 a head show at a tiny coffee house around the corner from my home. I saw him there a couple of years ago and tipped him $50. Part of that was for stealing that "Unreleased" album of his. In my defense, it's not available for purchase anywhere.

i sure would! Their new album, from the several tracks I've heard, sounds like
it comes right after Massachusetts. Like they didn't skip a beat. Saw JP at a small club and he drank an entire bottle of tequila through the set and remained brilliant, if a little outspoken.

Truly an amazing band.
