I saw Pedro the Lion last night at The Mohawk in Austin.

Marie/Lepanto opened. Marine/Lepanto is Will Johnson (Centro-matic) and Justin Peter Kinkel-Schuster (Water Liars).

They have a new record out "TenKiller" that is excellent.

Looking forward to John Prine in June.

Jackson Browne, Maui Arts and Cultural Center (Christmas gift to wife). Saw him with Warren Zevon opening in high school (1976), not since.
Then Jay in Sacramento and at Terrapin (yay).
Just saw Queens of the Stone Age in SF. Loudest show ever. Stupidly, painfully, unmusically loud. I like them, and I've seen plenty of loud shows, but this was absurd.

Joan Osborn > Sings Bob Dylan > 2/15 > Lebanon NH
I'm pretty sure Robert Randolph and Jackie Greene are part of her band.

This could be very very good

Recently saw St. Vincent. Strange show with just her on guitar and singing, with pre-recorded background music. Not sure how much was actually performed live.

Upcoming: David Byrne, Steven Wilson

James McMurtry/Jason Isbell 1/29 Pittsburgh

If you get a chance to see Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, take it. They are at a creative peak. His songs are musically and lyrically satisfying, and the band and performance are confident and tight, every instrumental break worked. Amanda Shires had just rejoined the tour. They played 1h45m.
The venue was Heinz Hall where the symphony plays, which I was dubious about because plush-ass seats can put the crowd to sleep, but everyone was really into it and the sound was excellent. JI noted that the Pittsburgh Symphony just got a Grammy, but didn't mention the two he received.
Only complaint: James McMurtry only played 45m and there was a 30m break before JI. JM didn't do Choctaw Bingo or Can't Make It Here Anymore - two songs that he was meant to write.

Caesar was there. I saw them in Nashville back in July and he was there too.
They are a tremendous band and both shows were great.
I wouldn't like a show without Caesar either.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood was very very good. Despite the fact that two fraking frat brats made me leave my spot on the rail with thier frat bro antics during the second set. Great show.

Puddles was fun. Stunning Hallelujah and Space Oddity's.

Next show Live Dead 69 1/23 Derry NH

Jr: was Caesar there? Last two times in NH he was a no show. Kind of crappy if you ask me.
