The Descendants. Nearly perfect film making and story telling; likely an Oscar contender.

Not excellent, but highly recommended for anyone that was on the PJ Express at any point. I was a pretty big fan from '91 - '96. After a long hiatus, I've found myself going back through their catalog over the past 6 weeks or so and even picked up

Riot Act . They are not my favorite, but they certainly make a strong case for one of (if not the best) American rock bands ever.
Musically, I was never that into them, but respect what they've accomplished and they all seem like good dudes. I am going to watch this next Friday an PBS American Masters. I think it airs Friday the 21st.

Another Earth -compelling, haunting. Sciencyphilosophicalastronomyromantic types may enjoy.
The Whistleblower -more of the same, sad. Rachel Weisz (sp)
in a cop outfit most of the time, ie. no pretty outfits on this gorgeous actress.
Sara's Key -Holocaust back-drop. Kristin Scott Thomas is awesome.

No not sad. But there were a couple I couldn't place, which has only further fueled my obsession with her awesome sauceness.
