i'm just thinking that we're in a fledgling moment and in a couple decades everyone will be known for all their internet faulting, bad bill paying, douche bag'n, porn watching, bugger eat'n, two women and a cup'n, atm'n, debit'n, home depot'n, posting on the internet like a fucking ass hole....dcarter wrote:Or just make sure you don't say anything you'd regret, no matter the name you use. Dunno. Yesterday, maybe? J just came out with a new record mixed by John
Agnello.
J's solo record is really, really good. The dogs are waiting for me to walk them on it.
Download it from iTunes or buy it directly from Sub Pop. If you buy it from Sub Pop, you just might get a surprise:
The Sub Pop label sent me the first J Mascis and The Fog record too. For being a fan...
I put a Sub Pop sticker on my case of Gibson acoustic gits
Sayin'

That badger must have eaten all the beef jerky by now.

Yep.

Mark Twain would be a good one too. He knew exactly how a pen name might work but played both sides of the fence. In most cases fame dissolves the secret. Holding true to a pen name, remaining truly anonymous means that you sacrifice recognition. The wizard of OZ is a fictional character that might hold onto this notion of absolute anonymity.sturgeongeneral wrote:boz aka charles dickens

anonymity has its advantages i guess. i am reluctant to concur anonymity absolutely results in asswipery. the problem with losing your anonymity is that you can never go back. just ask the wizard of oz.
I prefer god as the perfect character in this idea of being an ass wipe and an angel.
Titties? Well, if I had thought about it, I might played some tricks on Mark Spencer's eyes.

Being anonymous means not having to justify your ramblings to your dad, mom, son, daughter, wife, husband, friends. It means you're free of responsibility, and that usually makes people do or say things they would never have otherwise. When it come to people clever with words, it can be a good thing. For those not so inclined, it's more than often just good for nothing. In your case I wouldn't worry too much about losing your anonymity.sturgeongeneral wrote: anonymity has its advantages i guess. i am reluctant to concur anonymity absolutely results in asswipery. the problem with losing your anonymity is that you can never go back.
