The song that Nick did with Wilco is called "36 Inches High". It's off of "Jesus of Cool". Now, having said that......I too went to the Merriweather Post Pavillion show and thought it was fantastic. I have to admit that I didn't really care for "Wilco (The Album)" and I thought that "Sky Blue Sky" was passable at best. "The Whole Love" is my choice for Album of the Year so far. I can't find a bad song on it. "American Central Dust" is worthy of great praise as well. I've not heard the Cd "One Fast Move.....". I have to pick that one up. Cheers. Mark T.

no, that's not my gig. I like a broad range of stuff, regardless of popularity, and well beyond just roots / americana. there's a lot of great new music out there, across genres.

You're like the music version of Comic book Store guy on the Simpsons.

Went to the show last night. If there's a better rock n roll band playing right now, I'd like to hear them. The band is as tight as they come. Nels can shred. The Art of Almost and One Sunday are instant Wilco classics.

I can see how they don't appeal to the crowd that prefers only to hear bands like Moosejug and the Banjo Strummers and can't stray much from that scene.

They completely rocked.

Oh and the Peabody is awesome.

Oh, oh and I can't wait to see Jay later this month. Jeff and Jay in the same month - pretty cool.

Just to clarify on that set list the Taxman song was not the Beatles version (unfortunately). It must have been a Nick Lowe song and that's probably not the right title.

+1.
And well put. The guy from Captains Dead summed it up pretty good too.

wilco, live on all songs considered, 2011

blow up wilco, and start anew tweedy, i beg of you. ok, you can keep john and glenn, but the other three dudes gotta go. if you were to tell me back in 94/95 that in 2011 i would no longer give a shit about wilco, i would have slapped ya in the face and kicked in the balls, or vagina. sadly, its gotten to that point though. still with that said, i dont think there was a finer band on the planet than said band from their inception till whenever the hell a ghost was born was released. the whole love, i will admit, is better than their last two, but still pretty forgettable. oh, and for the record, regarding this matter, there is no budging or hemming and hawing, so hold your brea jeff we can still be best friends, please come back…

Here's the setlist from last night:

One Sunday Morning
Poor Places
Art of Almost
I Might
I am trying to Break your Heart
One Wing
Bull Black Nova
Rising Red Lung
Impossible Germany
Shouldn't Be Ashamed
New Madrid
Handshake Drugs
Standing O
Jesus, etc.
Born Alone
War on War
Dawned on Me
Shot in the Arm

Encores:
Via Chicago
Whole Love
Taxman with Nick Lowe
I Love my Label w/ Nick Lowe
Heavy Metal Drummer
I'm the Man who Loves You
Casino Queen
Outta Site

Not being in love with the last two records and not having listened to the new one I didn't recognize half the songs. The old ones were good, though. The venue was awesome. Not that it was a bad show or anything, but I'm not going to go out of my way to go to a Wilco show in the future. Must be getting old.

Going to Wilco show tonite at newly renovated Kiel Opera House in downtown STL. Now Peabody Opera House. Cardinals - Phillies playoff game at 4:10 and Obama in town for multiple fund raising dinners, including one downtown. Oh yeah, and Wilco doesn't give out pre-printed tix, will call pickup only. Should be fun.
