Hanging Blue Side at an Outback Steakhouse. One of my favorite Jay tunes and an obscure one at that! Made my day.

The other day I was watching "Fox 2 in the Morning" on St. Louis television. During the weather segment the weather guy always plays some song to lead off his report. The other day he played Sauget Wind. No s%*t. Cracked me up. I wonder if he had a clue what that song is about. Starting off by saying "well it's not too windy today...." and that was about his only reference to the song.

He also played The Long Way isn't the Wrong Way (sorry Brian I know that's not the title) by the BRox the other day. Not sure what that song has to do with weather but obviously the guy has a good taste in music!

Have you ever heard Son Volt/UT in an unexpected place?

Last night I was enjoying a meal and Noodles & Co. in the Chicago neighborhood of Lincoln Park when "Driving the View" came on their store mix much to my surprise. It def made my night. Only other time I remember something like this happening was in West Yellowstone, Montana 2 years ago in a local grocery store I heard one of my favorite SV songs "Too Early" come on over their speakers. That was awesome!
