Reading comments on anything like that piece or any YouTube video is always, always a disaster zone. I mean, fuck me, there's enough fucking idiots on message boards without going actively looking for them!

Mark Spencer to the rescue, he said something like he knew both and that's a dumb statement. Then the person who made the statement apologies.
Mark Spencer calling out assholes all over the Internet.
Priceless!

Jay "Bennett". What a prick that guy is who made such a cruel, thoughtless comment. And you are being generous by calling it an apology after being called out by M. Spencer. It never ceases to amaze me how fans just beat this rivalry thing to death.

If you want to know how good Jay's memoir is gonna be, check out how sweetly our favorite Band Leader orchestrates this song and sings such sweet harmonies:

p.s. Me and Baby Doll just got back from our fifth trip to Miami since the twins were born in February (This Year). Annabelle is a very rare baby.

This is great. As I read the excerpt, I hear it in Jay's voice.
Still, I think his real talent would be in fiction.
Can't wait to order it nonetheless

I also hope we can get more life out of New Multitudes project this year.
Its too good to just fade away...

His parents sound amazing, just from that little excerpt.
Looking forward to this, thanks for the find.

"Jay Farrar’s band, Son Volt, will be releasing a new album in April 2013,
followed immediately with a national tour."

Good news, bad news, I guess--I thought they might be releasing the album this fall. Looking forward to a record and tour, in any event.
