I found this: http://www.brooklynvegan.com/archives/2 ... des_1.html

Has pics and a video or two.
I wish NPR had put more effort into covering them than some of the others.

Edit: Here's another video from Newport on utube: http://youtu.be/D10Vbuq6SSU

and
http://youtu.be/wXPOm_1Zclc

most of these favor Jim's songs...

Not the folkfest, but don't forget the Amoeba one:

On top of all things Woody, check out 9:05, Will singing V.D. City and Jay blowin' harp ...

Love you,
Pony

From NY Times:

Woody-wise, what worked best for me was New Multitudes, the folk supergroup made up of Jay Farrar, Mr. James, Will Johnson and Anders Parker, and built around a batch of previously unused Guthrie lyrics. The band has grown much surer of itself since it first went out on tour this spring, and its fans have warmed to the songs: After Mr. James finished “My Revolutionary Mind,” a yearning waltz, the crowd erupted into cheers.

Was hoping NPR would have this up on their website, but haven't seen it yet. Anyone seen anything circulating?

Newport Folk Festival?

No news about the Newport Folk Festival on the website either. July 28-29. We'll have to rely on the amateurs.
