Ah yes, I see it now. Interesting... That would make sense if it was the lead single. Perhaps there'll be an EP with a little extra love for we Son Volt faithful.

It is from the Son Volt facebook page. I wondered if "Bakersfield" was the lead single and maybe this was that cover but anything is possible...

Please forgive my naivete, but is this actually the new album cover? Seems unlikely, seeing as how there is neither a "Son Volt" nor a "Honky Tonk" on it, but Sachsen and Grifter now have both posted it. Where did you guys find this? Awesome photo, at any rate!

This has been in heavy discussion here of late, but anyway, here's the rundown:

The new album will be called Honky Tonk. It will be released on March 5 on Rounder Records. Below is a tracklist:

What's the deal with Son Volt's new album? It was supposed to be released fall of 2012 but so far nothing. Anybody know anything?
