I hope not and doubt it. Surely there will be anecdotes about his time in Uncle Tupelo, but from what I can tell Jay intends for this to be anything but an expose to further fuel the obnoxious Farrar-Tweedy debacle. I do hope there is quite a bit about his interactions with Doug Sahm, Townes Van Zandt, Steve Earle, and the likes.

I wonder if there will be any Tweedy bashing in the book?

I think it's just a bit early yet. I imagine they will at some point before the official release date, as will iTunes.

And, of course, iTunes will often sell a digital version with an extra track or two.
I hate that. Seriouly, just release the album as a whole or wait and do a 7 inch or an EP.

Agreed. I've been tempted to pre-order the CD (as I did with the book), but I'm holding off in case some sort of exclusive "deluxe" edition is announced in the near future. I know Best Buy often sells more extensive versions of some records than you can buy anywhere else. And, of course, iTunes will often sell a digital version with an extra track or two.
