Oh wow. What a song. I can totally imagine Jay's voice on this one. Sweet! So super stoked to hear it tonight!

Stop the World as the closer, is that the Waylon tune or something else?

True. But he did add Dust of Daylight and No Turning Back last night.

show notes:
great energy, maybe a little bit of nervous energy goes a long way... all the HT songs sounded awesome live, best way to hear them. Col. Ford rips it up-it looked (and sounded) like Mark and Gary were really having fun, hearing Andrew sing was great.

"Wild Side" is still a favorite of mine, "Down the Highway" was beautiful, "Voodoo Candle" ...no brainer, that was great.
Jay plays most of the first set on acoustic, but then moves over to electric for a few at the end. I was really happy to hear "Hoping Machine" live, that was something powerful. very little from SV 1.0 era except at the end. Would have thrown money at the stage to hear "Left a Slide".
All and all a good sized crowd, fantastic show. look for it on etree.org soon.

Agreed, any SV is Good SV! Whats the word on the opening act? Col. Ford any good?

I'd still choose both songs over just about anyone else's songs. I'm still going to buy tickets for the show, buy his records and things. And I certainly wouldn't shout it at his face during the show. I feel like that would be a bit more egregious.

Obviously any SV is good SV, but I'm sorta bummed to see Wheels dont Move and Down to The Wire STILL on the setlist.

Looks like a beautiful set, though I would really love to hear 'Shine On' and 'Angel of the Blues' on the live stage...

thanks y'all

I'm clearly not the expert here and appreciate y'alls help with the set. Trace has been a desert island disc for me for many, many years so getting a chance to see Jay in an intimate venue again was pretty damn cool.
