count me in on the tribute

Post by bourbonrenewal »

hello all,

this is my first post - i have been checkin' this board for a while now and the tribute idea broke the camels back - game on. i'd love to contribute "clear day thunder" - let me know the timeframe and details. i hope to post the Hoboken show set list from Maxwell's soon - i grabbed Mark's setlist - it was a hell of a drive from DC in friday traffic - but well worth it.

all the best

Extracting mp3s to .wav is never a good idea. And since these recordings most likely are .wav in the first place (or analog tapes) lets keep it that way. I for one plan to send you a CD with my track(s) on, and I suggest everyone do the same. That way there is no point in compressing to mp3.

My $0.02...

Sorry sorry sorry. I did it quickly so I really am sorry to leave people out. The format is up to you but I think .wav is the easiest for me. I can convert most stuff so flac and mp3 is fine also. I can even take audio tape and convert it myself. I guess we can aim for early November but get them in as early as you can. Maybe even record several versions. Here's the list again. Tell me if I left anyone off:

Mort - Out of the Picture
countryBoy - Last Minute Shakedown
bigdaddy - Hanging Blue Side
BoogieMan
loosestring -
Hank Snow - Heart on the Ground but sevral others possible?????
notropis - Back into your World
Sticky - Whiskey Bottle ?
Tele - Blind Hope
Lefty
Duckman - Driving the View
summersleep
Tedious - Drain
dougm
TinyElvis
keith21 - Six String Belief
dhbursu

Deadline

Post by cowboydown »

Put me down too. I'm thinking about the song contrib. Whens the deadline for this? I'll be back in the front country second week of october. Enough time to work out a song and send it in. What format mp3, wav or flac?

I'm in - sign me up for "Still Be Around", it's a UT song, but Jay still plays it on tour...

Sorry, I'm a little embarrassed for struggling so much with this. Forget Damaged Son. I retract. I'm switching to Six-String Belief. I know it's so new some might question it's "coverability" almost half hour after I chose Damaged Son I am sure about this one. Seriously.

Okay, here it is. I haven't given this much thought cause I'm afraid it will drive me absolutely crazy but I'm in for... literally 10 minutes later of no typing and I get... Damaged Son. Put me down for damaged son.
