PM me with subject: "Down Home" if you're interested in a copy of the show.

I just finished up a simple dvd w\a menu and tested it, seems to work fine.

if there's someone on the board that knows how to upload and seed on DIME, definitely PM me if you can help me out, I only know how to download from that site.

Edit: I've also got Peter Bruntnell's set on DVD as well, let me know if you want both.

I bet it would have been a Miller show 8)

In fact, the first time I went to the Down Home was a Scott Miller Christmas show- maybe 2008? http://youtu.be/JM11FIa2I7E
I love that room and its only an hour from my home.

Tripod for sure or I wouldn't be able to hold my beer.

my one regret was not getting a feed from the soundboard, but my camera does ok recording audio.. I'm working on trying to burn both sets to a tradable dvd....

I agree, really nice job filming the show. It's the next best thing to actually being there. Were you using a tripod? If not, you must be a surgeon. Great sound as well.

There's been some sweet stuff posted on this site recently. This is great!

TB -- not sure. I'm a tall guy, was wearing a dark blue shirt. We may have met before though, either at Scott Miller or Mic Harrison shows. You do a great job with the videos.

Thanks TB, great job with the videos. The wife and I were there, a few tables to Jay's left. The Down Home is an incredible venue. Hope Jay keeps it on the radar and returns from time to time.

The Down Home in Johnson City, TN is an old-style listening room, it is 2 years short of its 40th anniversary, it boasts an incredible list of artists and performers that have graced its unpretentious stage. The small room only holds 150 people. I believe the story goes that the wood that's used for the stage was taken from an old barn out in the surrounding farmland. Local dignitary Ed Snodderly (from O'Brother Where Art Thou) can be seen working the front door or behind the bar.

Peter Bruntnell got up right at 8pm and started his short 30min set and really impressed a lot of folks. He sounded good, I had never heard him before, so that was a nice treat. I was set up and did tape his set too.

Jay and Gary got up shortly after Peter's set to some classic Buck Owens intro music. Setlist was very similar to recent shows, this being the last show of the East Coast tour.

Peter Bruntnell's set:

Here Come the Swells http://youtu.be/p7ocje9FSjU

Gary was on fire with no exceptions, Jay is just such a talent and a really cool guy on all levels. Both were very kind to chat after the show, Gary talked about Jay playing steel in Col. Ford awhile back and listening to a bunch of old country records prior to recording HT. Both seemed ready to head back home after being out on the road from this tour. I thought about asking what the next move was- writing\recording\touring- but Gary thought it would just be the duo setup for the rest of the year.
All and all a real magical night. I video'd the whole show from the back, if it comes out ok i'll see about burning it to dvd.
