Delinda, you are a serious pain in the cock.

As for the Tweedy thing. It's too long to digest in one sitting with the outcome that you just play it once and go back and play Summerteeth instead.

A cool interview with Tweedy, even if a little bit of a gush-fest on the part of the writer/interviewer.

My five year old likes it. It has a summer ambience. close mic on vox, bass ---- line in, drums simple room sound and some arty guitar.
Got a familiar tweedy jangle pop sound. he's in the comfort zone for himself and fans. Not a return to album as far as I can tell

That Hello one...nope, doesn't do it for me at all.
I couldn't find the Fake Fur Coat one.

I'm thinking Okeman is spot on as I really, really miss Jay Bennett.

I was only echoing Hoops' original sentiments. I recently came across the following, specifically from 2:22 on. A Bennett tune, although you would hardly know it if you didn't know. That short section is, to me, anything and everything that music can be. Bennett's fingerprints are all over it, figuratively and literally. Coomer is just kicking it as well.

You can hear yet another new one from the record here, entitled "Fake Fur Coat." This is the strongest of the bunch thus far, hands down -- would be at home on 'Mermaid Ave.'

I tend to agree with all. I normally takes me to warm up to Jeffs stuff. I do think Jeff 'took a break' from Wilco- letting the other guys do whatever. (Jay tried that and look what happened. Do not take that as a negative because the post original son volt is great!) The stuff Nels cline did w/ phil lesh and friends was ' hokey smokey, Rocky! smokin'!'.

Here's an FM recording that is real clear..that plodding same beat stuff grates on me at times and I don't think it's the strongest material but..it is what it is. also, the solo stuff he does at the end of the show is well done.

I have the same take as thatbeat. I'm also tired of the "cooler than shit" Lennon sounding vocals with the mopey, phoned-in, bedroom-bubblegum lyrics. maybe he should just play jazz.
