Just started listening to this now...and very first impression, of all things, is that first song* sounds like Dylan! (And considering that I have the new Rolling Stone featuring "Bob Dylan's Secret Masterpiece: The Untold Story of The Basement Tapes" out in front of me, it seemed rather uncanny).

Stunningly good record. He hasn't put a foot wrong with his recording career to date.

I'll be forever in debt to turpentim for turning me onto Poor Moon several years ago. MC Taylor/HGM is one of my favorite artists making music today.

The new Hiss Golden Messenger record is out. It's called 'Lateness of Dancers.' It's one of the most beautiful recordings you'll ever hear. Open. Bright. Confident. Gorgeous. It'll suck the wind right out of your chest.
