Can anyone isolate this tune from a recent recording and share it for us all to hear? Or let us know the time stamp in a full-length recording where we can find it? Desperate for some new Jay. Thanks!

Yes thanks - I saw that. However, there's nowhere in Ireland that's called Ballynene. I double checked with Gary Hunt after the show & he confirmed that the song is definitely called Ballymena.

Thanks for the post.
Folks who have posted setlists on other sites seem to be spelling it "Ballynene" for some reason.

Ballymena

Jay played this song again last night at City Winery, NY.

The title is "Ballymena". It's the name of a town in County Antrim, N. Ireland and the song tells the little known story of a battle there during the 1798 rebellion, involving the United Irishmen.

I grew up ~20 miles from there & never thought something like this would hit Jay's radar.

I heard this song for the first time at last night's show.
It doesn't look like it has ever been officially released, but I was wondering if any of you folks could confirm that(?) I was hoping I'd be able to at least purchase an mp3 of the tune.
