Been a while since I had this one on. The man has a great voice for duetting with the ladies. Love to hear him with Shelby Lynne or Alison Krauss.
Or me. Seriously ... my life would be complete - all would have come full-circle. it would be a glorious event, I'd have to step in front of a bus immediately afterward as it would get no better, so why bother?

I <3 Jayfers.

So I just found out that Cracker is playing at Columbia's Annual Oyster Festival. Is this a must-see show? I had other plans, but just might have to cancel them.

You don't say. I hadn't heard. I've been in a bit of a Jackie McLean phase just lately. I had just been listening to a 1951 session where a very young Jackie McLean was playing with Miles Davis, Sonny Rollins and Art Blakey, as well as a late-50's Charles Mingus session and his own Let Freedom Ring. He was really one of the last jazz heavywieghts of that era.

It's too bad McLean's no longer with us, but 73 is a fairly good long life, especially for a jazz musician, sad to say.

Let's make a point to meet again soon under happier circumstances.

lately it's been SV Okemah, Jenny Lewis and the Watson Twins, both Sun Kil Moon discs and old school Tribe Called Quest.
