I am getting into Richard Buckner, I heard his song "Ariel Ramirez" on the VW Toureg commericial where they go to the top of the mountain to take a picture of the sun set. I liked the song, went to the VW website and soon had a full album of his downloaded. Gr8 alt. country music that I'm sure everyone here would appreciate. Besides that of course listening to lots of Farrar, Jayhawks, Travis, The Verve, Mindy Smith, Coldplay, Wilco,
Whiskeytown, Sister Hazel, Damien Rice, The Samples, and many others of which I am sure I am forgetting!

I've been thinking of as some sort of "lift your spirits/move on" kind of song. Don't know if that makes sense but I don't really know how to explain it

On the gumbopages there's a tab for Drain but whoever did that one didn't get the lyrics down correctly and it has "Drain your eyes, but don't dry 'em blind" in the chorus. I thought that was pretty cool and it sort of made sense.

"I'm listening to Jay and Drain"

i always took Drain as a Jay-ish lullaby for his kids.

DRAIN
STAY AWAY FROM INJURY STAY AWAY FROM BAD REACTIONS FIND SOME PEOPLE AND HANG AROUND AFTER DARK BETTER OFF LIVING PUT THE EFFORT ON BUILDING AND DEAL WITH THE DEVIL WHEN IT SEEMS THE TIME IS RIGHT DRAIN YOUR EYES SLOW DOWN DON'T DROP BEHIND DRAIN YOUR EYES SLOW DOWN DON'T DROP BEHIND BETTER OFF CREATING THAN FACILITATING SOME DOWNWARD ACTION FEEL THE PULSE THAT'S RADIATING HOPE TO YOU AND ALL THE BEST SAVE ROOM FOR AN OPEN MIND TAKE IT AS IT UNRAVELS NO NEED FOR AN ALIBI DRAIN YOUR EYES SLOW DOWN DON'T DROP BEHIND DRAIN YOUR EYES SLOW DOWN DON'T DROP BEHIND

personally, i can't stop listening to Princess Buttercup's Son Volt 'heard it on the X' collection of live covers. totally love it.

I'm listening to Jay and Drain, which is on top of my top25-most-played-list in Itunes. Next, Age Of Miracles with Chuck Prophet
