Greg Cartwright/Oblivian is a god!

Yeah :) I just started listening to the bands he`s been in just this year.I discovered him on Mary Weiss` solo album Dangerous Game(album of the year in my book;Mary was in The Shangri Las in the `60s,Greg wrote most of the songs on the album and Reigning Sound is the backing band)so I checked out The Oblivians,Compulsive Gamblers, and Reigning Sound and yeah they all rock 8)
I need to pick up that Mary Weis record. I've heard good things about it. I do like all of his records, but Time Bomb High School and Break Up, Break Down are probably my two favorites. The Compulsive Gambler album Crystal Gazing Luck Amazing makes me want to get drunk and call all my ex-girlfriends and tell them thank you for all the pain and misery....it makes music sound even better.

Oh the Wind and Rain > JGB > Almost Acoustic
Temper Tantrum in the background, may have to put on Medicine Hat to soothe the cutie pie. It always works wonders.

A nice shuffle last night. My MP3 player is smart. Cooked up this line-up somewhere between Cincy and Indy:

1. Buckley: Last Goodbye
2. Centro-Matic: Calling Thermatico
3. Canyon: Mansion on the Moon
4. Beck: Golden Age
5. Ryan Adams: Goodnight Rose
