S, did you get the new Nick Cave album yet? Around 14 albums in and the dude is still putting out top rated stuff.
I looked last Tuesday when it was released in stores on your side of the water but couldn't find it anywhere. Walked out instead with the new Jim White and an older Otis Taylor album.
I'll be looking again tomorrow.
However, i have been listening to it on their myspace page and hell yes, i agree, Cave still writes gems, Harvey's guitarwork is still slick and sinister, and Ellis continues to rip sounds out of his violin that i've never heard before. Blixa who? (just kidding, Bargeld's long proven he's a god of deconstructed/reconstructed noise. I miss his ear-splitting screams.)
I've gotten into this band big time over the last week. I actually got into them because I've gotten into Bon Iver over the past few weeks.
I wanna see Bon Iver live and saw they were opening for BM at Headliners in Louisville. Since I'm going to see SV there in April I thought I'd go check it out.
This is their first album and it's different than their new one. It's a little weirder and doesn't rock as hard as In the Future, but I'm still diggin it.
Anyone ever seen a show at Headliners Music Hall in Louy, KY?
