I always thought the Farcical Hair line was for late era UT Tweedy.

I love that he was having a dig at all those 80's hair bands in the lyrics to Slate as well. And it sounded like he might be working on a follow up shortly, if that interview was anything to go by.

Also cool that the "farcical hair" line from 'Slate' refers to big-hair metal bands. Always wondered about that line.

Hey, not sure if anyone has seen this yet, but Jay Farr was featured recently on Double J, a digital radio station from here in Australia. They've been playing a few tracks from the new album as well.
