BEST BUY BLUES?

Post by mzkmm »

Someone recently shared that five clerks had searched for NOTES OF BLUE before he got a copy. This matched my experience of BEST BUY supposedly being "sold out" the day after release, while the computer inventory showed three copies! It then took two clerks a fairly long time in the caverns of the warehouse to find me two copies. On my second visit there was actually a marked shelf divider for Son Volt. But the clerk did not bother filling the spot--just did lengthy searches for my two copies. There is some kind of "hold" on the album? There is no "slot" for it? They are afraid of shoplifting? I forgot to ask if they still took special orders for CDs. Clerks routinely refer one to the internet. This clerk agreed that Best Buy is in the process of closing out their music department.
