Drove down to Portland from Tacoma, WA. Alladin Theater is a nice little spot to see a show. Great sound, nice people.
This was, by far, my favorite Sonvolt show that I've seen since the original lineup. Jay's voice is sounding better than ever and this current band lineup is one that I hope sticks for the long term. They are all such amazing musicians.
I cannot say enough good things about this show. It has totally reinvigorated me as a fan. I admittedly had become apathetic to seeing their shows, usually caving in at the last minute to buy a ticket for fear of what I may miss. I would then leave feeling like it was ok, but will never be close to what it once was to see a SV show.
The new album gave me hope and the band delivered 100%.
