Thanks for the heads up.

Saw Magnolia Electric Co. open for Son Volt in Los Angeles at the El Rey theatre. I believe it was "The Search" tour. Was already a Molina fan and was super excited for the show. They were probably the best opening band I ever saw. Molina had a crazy electric stage presence. The room was not big enough for his energy. Like if you blinked he might be gone.

Not sure if true or not but the story goes he was found dead on the street with no ID and a cell phone containing only his grandma's phone number.

RIP

Thanks for the tip Tim. I was introduced to Molina by the board and cannot believe how talented the guy was. I'll be picking up the book....

Saw something about this a while back and forgot about it. Will be ordering tonight so thanks for posting. Jason Molina was one amazing troubled talent. Here's another update: https://amp.pastemagazine.com/articles/ ... olina.html

Also, I always loved this Secretly Canadian mini doc: https://vimeo.com/30702742

Don't believe I've seen any mention on here of the new Jason Molina biography. Can't wait to read this. What a talent, what a tragic loss.
